Chelsea are on the search for a new number nine in the upcoming transfer window, with ’s name again spoken about.
The striker has been linked with a move to for sometime. He is currently on loan with Galatasaray from Napoli, but it seems that a return to the Turkish club beyond his current loan deal is highly unlikely.
Osimhen has scored 25 goals in 29 Super Lig appearances this season including the opener is Sunday’s 3-0 win over Kayserispor, the game that secured them the league title. Following the game, the striker took to social media to along with pictures of the celebrations after the match.

That shortlist consists of Liam Delap, Jonathan David, Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko. also report that while a move for Osimhen is not being ruled out by Chelsea this summer, his wage demands during negotiations last summer were seen as prohibitive.
That in the end, led to a move not happening. Osimhen then completed a move to Turkey following the closure of the British transfer window.
Upon announcing the news, Napoli also included a detail that is now set to help them in the upcoming window.
"SSC Napoli can confirm that Victor Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on loan until 30 June 2025,” the statement on their website read. “The club has also reached an agreement with the player regarding the option to extend his contract until 2027.”
The extension to his contract means that the Italian club will be able to demand a similar fee this summer to what they would have hoped for this time last year. If Osimhen hadn’t have extended his deal, he would now have just one year remaining on his contract, which would have put Napoli into a vulnerable position.
The extra year has meant that the player has retained his value. His goalscoring form for Galatasaray will also be good news for Napoli as they look for a buyer.
