Health & Wellness Priority in Job: Most employees in India are giving priority to health and wellness while changing jobs. This information was given in a report released on Wednesday. According to a report by global business services firm Aon, 82 percent of employees in India are looking for a new job in the next 12 months.
What benefits do Indian employees get?
The report said that Indian employees mainly get five types of benefits in companies, which include work-life balance, medical coverage, career development, paid leave and retirement savings. According to the report, medical coverage was one of the most valued benefits in a job among all generations among the people who participated in the survey in India, it was rated higher by Gen X and Gen Y than Gen Z. Gen Z has prioritized work-life balance in jobs.
76 percent people are ready to give up existing benefits
Further, 76 percent of the people surveyed said that they are ready to give up existing benefits for a better option of benefits. This highlights the need for businesses in India to adapt their strategies to the changing expectations of their employees.
Nitin Sethi, Head of Talent Solutions for India at Aon, said, "Very few companies have considered how wellness and health programs can shape their employer brand. We are seeing a big change in this after Covid as employees give more importance to these programs and companies are branding more actively."

"The importance of retirement and financial planning among younger employees is surprising," D'Silva added.
