Pune (Maharashtra) [India] April 22 (ANI): A late-night drive home after dinner turned into a harrowing ordeal for a couple in Pune when their vehicle was attacked by a group of six individuals near Pashan Circle.
The incident, which occurred on April 18, left the husband severely injured and hospitalised, while the wife suffered internal injuries.
According to the complaint lodged at Chaturshringi Police Station, the victims, Ketki Bhujbal and her husband Amaldev Raman, were returning home from Mukund Nagar around 11 p.m. after dining with friends.
As they drove through Pashan Circle, two men on an Activa scooter, allegedly intoxicated, obstructed their path. When Raman honked at them to pass through, the situation quickly escalated.
The two men began banging on the car's window and soon physically assaulted him, resulting in a violent confrontation.
What started as an altercation soon took a serious turn when others joined in the assault. The couple was left injured, with the husband requiring urgent medical attention.
The police have since registered a case against four individuals and have arrested three in connection with the attack. (ANI)
