Chennai Super Kings retained many of their core players for the IPL 2025, who were a part of their squad since 2022 and beyond. While not all of them have delivered the goods as well as one would have expected, some key players have stood up for the 5-time champions. But would be missing some players who played for them in the 2024 season.
In their 2024 squad, CSK had a good mix of youth and experience. The Chennai-based franchise only retained their experienced players who played for them for a long time, like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Matheesha Pathirana, and MS Dhoni. While some were bought back in the auctions, others were left for different franchises.
