Ahmedabad recorded seven new COVID-19 cases, as per data from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. All individuals are in home isolation, with no recent travel history, indicating possible local transmission.
Among the new cases, symptomatic individuals include a 15-year-old boy from Vatva and Bhopal areas, and a 2-year-old girl from Gota. Others infected are a 28-year-old man from Narol, a 72-year-old woman from Danilimda, a 30-year-old man from Baharampura, and a 54-year-old man from Navrangpura.
Officials are keeping a close watch on the situation and are advising the public to follow essential safety measures, as signs point to community transmission of the virus.
On Tuesday, the Ahmedabad civic body's health department stated that all patients were in stable condition and had been instructed to recover under home isolation.
