Durga Saptashati Path Right Way: During Navratri, a Kalash is installed in the temple of Goddess Durga and worshipped. However, people also worship Goddess Durga by installing a Kalash in their homes. While people typically have a Pandit or priest recite Durga Saptashati at home, many people recite it on their own. But do you know the correct way to recite Durga Saptashati during Navratri? Astrologer Pandit Shatrughan Jha explains that if Durga Saptashati is recited with proper rituals, it can fulfill every wish.

How to Recite Durga Saptashati
Astrologer Pandit Shatrughan Jha explains that one should first install a Kalash in front of the idol or picture of the Goddess and, after taking a resolution, begin reciting Durga Saptashati. Before the recitation, reciting the 'Atha Devi Kavacham', 'Argala Stotra', and 'Keelak Stotra' is considered mandatory. He said that by reciting the Kavach, no obstacle can touch us.
Only after this should we begin reciting the chapters of Saptashati. Pandit Jha explained that the recitation should not be started without the Shuddhachara and Viniyoga mantras; otherwise, the benefits remain incomplete.
The entire recitation should be divided into three parts.
Pandit Jha further explained that people should recite the entire recitation every day. However, this takes a lot of time, so it is considered best to divide the Durga Saptashati into three parts during the nine days of Navratri. From the first day to the third day, the 'Pratham Charitra', i.e., chapters 1 to 3 of Saptashati, are recited. From the fourth to the sixth day, the 'Madhyam Charitra', i.e., chapters 4 to 10, are recited.
From the seventh to the ninth day, the 'Uttar Charitra', i.e., chapters 11 to 13, are recited. In this way, the recitation of Durga Saptashati is completed throughout Navratri. Those who wish to recite the entire Saptashati in a single day should sit on a single seat and recite all 13 chapters sequentially. Pandit Jha says that at the end of the Saptashati recitation, one must perform the Goddess's Aarti and pray for forgiveness, so that no mistakes are made.
Reciting these two things is also essential.
Pandit Ji further explains that the Argala Stotra and Keelak Stotra are the basic mantras of the Saptashati recitation. The Argala Stotra is the means to obtain the desired results from the Goddess, while the Keelak Stotra reveals the hidden power of the recitation. If these are not recited correctly, the effect of the recitation remains incomplete.
He explains that before the recitation, the seeker should bathe, wear clean clothes, and sit facing east or north, if possible. If a seeker regularly recites the Saptashati for the entire nine days of Navratri, they receive the Goddess's special blessings, and all life's troubles are removed.
