The auspicious time of worship on July 29 will be from 5:41 am to 8:23 am. Worshipping the snake deity during this period gives special fruits and freedom from the fear of Kaal Sarp Dosh and snakebite. It is considered very auspicious to worship the snake deity duly in this Muhurta.
Nag Panchami Puja Samagri
The materials required for the puja are a picture or idol of the snake deity, Kushasan, curd, desi ghee, honey, Gangajal, Panchamrit, perfume, Mauli, Janeu, milk, flowers, Panchphal, dry fruits, plum, mango buds, barley ears, Tulsi leaves, Mandar flowers, raw cow milk, puja utensils, Panch Mithai, Belpatra, Dhatura, Bhang, sugarcane juice, camphor, incense, turmeric, Roli, rice, and fruits.
Nag Panchami Puja Method
Take a bath in the morning and wear clean clothes.
Purify the house and the place of worship with Gangajal.
Spread a clean cloth at the place of worship and install the idol or picture of the snake deity on the platform.
Offer Roli, rice, turmeric, milk, and flowers to the snake deity.
Light a lamp of ghee or sesame oil and worship properly, and chant the snake mantras.
Listen to or recite the story of Nag Panchami.
At the end of the puja, perform the Aarti of the snake deity and offer milk to him.
