Filmy Chase By Gujarat Cop To Nab Smuggler Caught On Camera In Udaipur; Accused Manages To Escape After Gunfire (VIDEO)

Udaipur: A team of Gujarat Police had reached Udaipur in Rajasthan to arrest Suresh Rajpurohit, a wanted criminal from Gujarat's Jalore. Multiple cases of hawala, smuggling, and fraud have reportedly also been registered against the accused in Gujarat.

On Monday evening, a filmy, suspense-like atmosphere unfolded in the Sukher police station area of Udaipur city, as the Gujarat Police’s operation to apprehend the accused turned into a real-life thriller.

In an attempt to stop the accused, Jaydeep Sarvaiya, the officer-in-charge of Palanpur Police Station in Gujarat, jumped onto the bonnet of the SUV. However, the accused did not stop the vehicle.

The SHO clung to the bonnet for nearly half a kilometre and even fired his weapon in self-defence. Despite this, the accused managed to flee in the car.

The high-voltage drama took place at the Khara Kuan intersection. As soon as the accused, who was in the SUV, realised the police were present, he attempted to escape. Sarvaiya positioned himself in front of the SUV to stop him, but Suresh accelerated.

Sarvaiya, risking his life, climbed onto the bonnet. This dramatic scene unfolded in full view of passers-by in the Khara Kuan area. Despite warning shots being fired, the accused did not stop, and the officer eventually fell off the vehicle at a dangerous turn. The smuggler even tried to mow the cop down under his speeding vehicle.

Fortunately, the officer was not seriously injured. A blockade and search operation is underway to apprehend the smuggler. A video of the incident was caught on CCTV camera and has gone viral.

At around 6.30 pm, two scooter riders closed the gate of the street to help the police, but the smuggler crashed it and fled the scene.

After breaking the gate, the accused drove the car towards the narrow streets. Meanwhile, the police also kept chasing him. Different police teams are searching for the accused.
