Things have gone from bad to worse for Manchester United following a bizarre open-top bus parade and a shock 1-0 defeat to the ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur.Ruben Amorim’s squad, still reeling from a dismal Premier League campaign that ended with a 15th-place finish their worst since 1974 kicked off their post-season tour of Asia with a lackluster performance at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
The defeat came courtesy of a 71st-minute goal by Maung Maung Lwin, sending United fans into further frustration. The embarrassing loss was compounded by footage that went viral earlier in the day, showing four United players Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt, Patrick Dorgu, and Ayden Heaven participating in a strange open-top bus parade through the streets of Kuala Lumpur.

United’s post-season tour, which includes matches in Malaysia and Hong Kong, is reportedly earning the club around £8 million. Despite the financial incentive, the trip has done little to lift the mood around the club, with uncertainty looming over several high-profile players.
Alejandro Garnacho, who came off the bench against the ASEAN All-Stars, is facing an uncertain future. According to Dailymail report, manager Amorim publicly told the young winger he should "pray" to find a new club
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford’s situation also hangs in the balance, with his agent reportedly holding talks with Barcelona representatives regarding a potential summer move.
What's next for Manchester United?
United will conclude their Asia tour with a fixture against the Hong Kong national team at the 40,000-capacity Hong Kong Stadium. From there, they will shift focus to their pre-season campaign, beginning with a July friendly against Leeds United in Sweden, followed by a three-game US tour as part of the Premier League Summer Series.
