Jharkhand: A shocking incident that stunned everyone has come to light from Jharkhand's Noamundi where a young man identified as Veer Nayak broke into a temple with intention of stealing but dozed off in the middle due to due to high intoxication. The man was found sleeping in the temple later, by locals and priests. The police has taken the thief into custody along with the items he stole from the temple. The visuals of him sleeping in the temple with stolen things around him are going viral on the Internet.
The accused Veer Nayak told the police that he had consumed a lot of alcohol with his friends on Monday night. After that, he climbed over the wall in front of the Kali temple and broke the lock of the door and entered the temple.
Stole Everything But Fell Asleep
He stole everything he could grab from decoration items, bell, puja thali and jewellery. He was all prepared to run away from the temple with all his bags stuffed with stolen items but instead he started feeling sleepy and due to being inebriated, he fell asleep right there.

On Tuesday morning, local people found that a person was sleeping deeply inside the temple. On suspicion, they opened his bag and found that it was full of the items kept in the temple. They immediately informed Barajamda OP in-charge Baleshwar Oraon and called him to the spot.

According to police, Nayak collected several valuables from the sanctum, including gold and silver ornaments and the deity's crown. Barajamda OP in-charge Baleshwar Oraon confirmed the arrest of the thief and said that an investigation is ongoing of the same. During questioning, the accused admitted to the attempted theft but claimed he did not know when he had fallen asleep.
