For coffee lovers, that first cup of Joe in the morning can often be the difference between a bad day and a good one. And while many of us tend to be on the go, stopping off at our local coffee shop for an Americano, it all adds up. Which is why investing in a home coffee machine is not just convenient but money-saving too. Especially when it can be snagged in a deal.
While often fancy home espresso machines cost hundreds of pounds, Amazon has just the thing. The online retail giant has slashed the price of a Nespresso pod coffee machinefrom £139 to just £75.98, offering shoppers a 45% saving.
The discounted Nespresso Vertuo Plus Automatic Pod coffee machine is available in a limited edition white shade and boasts compact dimensions of 34.9D x 22W x 32.5H centimetres - making it ideal for those with relatively small kitchens. This nifty gadget can accommodate a variety of mug sizes, ranging from a 40ml espresso, an 80ml double espresso, a 150ml gran lungo, right up to a large 230ml mug.

As an added bonus, the machine comes with a complimentary set of 12 capsules and can whip up to 30 different varieties of coffee, depending on the pod. This includes iced and flavoured options, as well as Nespresso's exclusive limited edition and seasonal coffees - ideal for those who can't resist a pumpkin spice latte.
With a heat-up time of just 40 seconds and one-touch operation, this machine makes morning routines a breeze, eliminating the need to fiddle around with more complex machines. For comparison, the bean-to-cup Philips 2200 Series Bean to Cup Coffee Machine is currently on sale at Argos for £270, while the BREVILLE Barista Slimline VCF185 Espresso Machine is priced at £239.99 at Currys, reports the Liverpool Echo.
This Nespresso machine is causing quite a stir among coffee enthusiasts, boasting an automatic pod ejection system that can hold up to 10 pods and a detachable water tank for easy refills. In addition, as the colder months approach, the machine's auto shut-off feature is a hit for those looking to save on energy.
Although it doesn't include a milk frother for creating lattes, cappuccinos, or flat whites, the Aeroccino3 Milk Frother Black is available for £79 on the Nespresso website, which could be a worthy investment for some. The machine has garnered a 4.5-star rating on Amazon, showcasing its popularity amongst users.
One particular convert, who traded in their Sage Barista Express for thisNespresso model, shared: "After having bought a Sage Barista Express coffee machine then sold it second hand a few months later as I had stopped using it, I wanted to find a more convenient alternative. I'm sure that many people will point out that you can't compare a Nespresso machine to pulling a shot of espresso using the right equipment from recently-roasted, freshly-ground beans. But for me, I'm happy I made the swap. I'm now drinking coffee when I'm at home again everyday."

They further explained their choice, saying: "What convinced me about Nespressoand also the Vertuo Plus model in particular is that my mum had gotten one and I had the chance to try hers. I was happy with the coffee, but I think the selling point is the experience using the machine. It's so easy to fill up the water tank, load the pod and click the button."
While one user pointed out the minor inconvenience of their coffee machine, noting it "doesn't go in the dishwasher", they were quick to add: "Then once the coffee is made, you walk away and it turns itself off automatically. I think it's actually easier and quicker than brewing a mug of tea from a tea bag and a kettle."
Another person said: "Completely in love with this machine, and can't imagine life without it now!"
They added: "I am a devout coffee snob and only really drink fresh coffee. I love the range of pods, the different flavours are subtle and also exciting and are much better for you than the sickly syrups. I don't take sugar so to have the flavour without the sweetness is just great."
They went on to praise the brand's commitment to sustainability: "I love the green practice of the recyclable pods and once you get into the swing of it all it is really straightforward. Great, sustainable system."
"Best thing I've purchased as a coffee lover," echoed another. "Totally worth it and saves me money spending in Costa and Starbucks."
However, not everyone was completely sold on the machine, especially with its exclusivity with espresso pods. A customer remarked: "The machine is very good, its slimline so nice and snug in the corner. It makes very nice coffee at just the press of a button. My only issue is that the coffee pods can only be purchased from Nespresso. They have utilised a bar reading system which means you can only use their pods."
So, bear this in mind. For a limited period, the Nespresso Vertuo Plus Automatic Pod coffee machine is available on Amazon for £75.98.
