has revealed that he took his sons and away on a trip for his 50th birthday. He's now posted about the holiday and confirmed that his eldest son wasn't with them.
The retired footballer, now 50 - who has been in recent weeks - has shared that last week, just days before his birthday, he went on a and camping trip to with Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20. He said they "missed" Brooklyn, 26, who, just like his mother , 51, and sister , 13, was absent from photos posted by David on today.
David revealed in his first post about the experience that he had planned the trip "with his boys" six months ago. He went on to share on the platform that they went fishing together at an undisclosed location in the country and teased that they cooked together at their accommodation.

Alongside a photo of the trio at the coast, he wrote: "6 months ago planned a trip with my boys at the start of last week to camp and fish for my 50th." David concluded the caption by telling his followers that it "was so much fun".
Another photo showed him holding up scallops that had been collected in a net. He wrote beside it: "A few scallops for the fire later." He later showed some scallops on a fire and told fans: "Doesn't get any fresher than this".
Other posts showed Romeo and Cruz preparing seafood in their accommodation, before the pair were seen at a table with David. He wrote: "Dinner for three. fresh scallops, blue lobster and crabs all caught a few hours before this."
The former player gave his followers glimpses into their accommodation on the platform earlier. He appeared to tease that they were staying in a bothy, which can be used to describe a hut that provides shelter.
One photo showed Romeo sat on an inflatable bed and sleeping bag inside the property. Beside laughing emojis, David teased in the caption: "[Romeo] not so happy about the first night's accommodation" He added: "A Bothy."
David went on to share footage of his sons inside their room in the building, showcasing their respective beds. Then alongside a photo of Romeo and Cruz in front of a fire in a living area, he said: "I promise they are smiling on the inside."
In a subsequent post David appeared to poke fun at his age. Accompanying a photo of himself sat sown beside a tree whilst out in a woodland, he teased in the caption earlier: "Dad's almost 50 in this shot. I needed a little rest."
Some photos showed the trio out on a boat together. David suggested that his sons didn't use their phones at times on the trip, writing alongside one photo: "Last time boys were allowed to use their phones. Not so happy about it."
David has since confirmed that his eldest son Brooklyn was not on the trip, though he didn't provide any details about his absence. Over a selfie that showed Romeo, Cruz and their father, David wrote: "Fun times in [Scotland]." Tagging his other son, he added: "You were missed [Brooklyn]."
The news of Brooklyn's absence comes following reports that he and his wife , 30, for David's birthday, like on Saturday. The couple's apparent absence comes within the family, with there between Brooklyn and some of his relatives.
