This is the dramatic footage which shows two motorcycle thugs leading police on a 90-minute, 90mph chase across three counties.

The men drove the wrong way down a motorway, did a u-turn when they spotted police stingers and mounted the pavement in heavy traffic as they tried to avoid arrest. During the pursuit they even stopped at a petrol station to refuel before speeding off again. But Jake Fagan and Connor Mitchell were eventually caught and have now both been jailed,

Bodycam footage shows a police officer saying to one of the men “I feel like we’ve met before, haven’t we?” after he was tacked to the ground.

Fagan, 29, from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, was sentenced to four years, eight months after admitting a number of charges including assault, possessing a knife, criminal damage, intent to supply class A drugs, handling stolen goods, and dangerous driving.

Passenger Mitchell, from Elton, Cheshire, received three years, six months. He admitted possessing a knife and possession with intent to supply drugs.

Chester crown court heard on July 18 a motorist reported a road rage incident in Ellesmere port when two men on a motorbike threatened her with a knife and smashed her rear window.

They then fled but were followed by police on the ground and in the air. The police helicopter followed them from Cheshire, into Merseyside, back through Chester and into North Wales. A stinger was successfully used after they returned to Chester and both men were caught after a brief foot chase.

Detective Constable Demi Brownrigg, from Cheshire Police, said: “I welcome the sentences handed to Fagan and Mitchell who clearly showed no regard for the safety of members of the public by leading police on an incredibly dangerous pursuit.

“The pursuit crossed into three separate police force areas, however, thanks to our officers working together, we were able to keep up with the suspects and eventually bring their alarming behaviour to an end. This included bringing them to court for class A drugs offences.

“This should serve as an example that if you commit crime in Cheshire, we will find you, and we will utilise all of the resources at our disposal to protect the communities that we serve while bringing you to justice.”

The assault charge Fagan admitted was for a previous incident in July 2024. A man had been in Ellesmere Port, when two men on a motorcycle approached him. They made threats, before Fagan assaulted him.
