EA FC 26 Companion App release time – when you can play Ultimate Team on mobile

Before EA FC 26 goes live for players with early access, you'll be able to access parts of the Ultimate Team game mode on the Companion App.

After months of anticipation, we're in the home stretch before EA FC 26 is released, with players with early access able to play the full game from Friday, September 19. A huge number of new features are being added to EA FC 26 by EA Sports, especially in Ultimate Team, and ahead of the EA FC 26 early access release time, you'll be able to access some of these new features on the EA FC 26 Companion App.

EA first released the Companion App in FIFA 15, and since then, it's become a fantastic way to access Ultimate Team on the go, alongside the EA FC 26 Web App which goes live on Wednesday, September 17. We already had a rough idea of when the EA FC 26 Companion App would go live, but we now have a confirmed EA FC 26 Companion App release time.

EA FC 26 Companion App release time

The EA FC 26 Companion App release time will be around 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT on Thursday, September 18 – one day before the full EA FC 26 release for players with early access. The EA FC 26 Companion App will become available as an update to the current EA FC 25 Companion App via the App Store or Google Play Store around this time.

Based on past releases, the EA FC 26 Companion App won't be available to all players at launch. If EA applies the same rules as past years, you will only be able to access the EA FC 26 Companion App if you are a returning EA FC 25 player and have logged into EA FC 25 Ultimate Team before August 1, 2025.

You also need to have an existing Ultimate Team club, so if you've deleted your EA FC 25 Ultimate Team club, you won't be able to access the Companion App. Obviously, you won't be able to play the actual game through the Companion App, but you can access a bunch of Ultimate Team features, such as the FUT Store, Objectives, SBCs, Evolutions, and quick-sell recovery.

If you pre-ordered the EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition, you won't receive your FC Points until the full game launch on Friday, September 19, so these won't be loaded up on the Companion App.
