Emmerdale fans have rumbled what really happened to Aidan Moore. John Sugden said he was in a secret relationship with Aidan, who has been in a coma for years after something happened in the past before
John had claimed that and that they had met whilst in the army. Aidan and John dated in secret for months whilst in the same regiment but didn't tell anyone that they were dating - and even got engaged.
Aidan was injured whilst on patrol with John and whilst John said he had tried to save Aidan's life, his brain was starved of oxygen and he was left in a coma. However, could something be set to happen soon now Aidan has woken up?

John recalled of what happened between him and Aidan: "I tried my best to save him. I told him I could but I was lying, I had to. I could see the fear in his eyes. I held his hand as he slowly slipped away.
"Aidan thought I could save him and I let him down. I can never forgive myself for that." We also know that John has tried to save multiple people, including Nate who eventually was killed by John in a surprise twist.
However, tonight, there was a new update when Aidan woke up from his coma. It was clear that he knew who his mother was and John also visited his former fiancé to see if he remembers anything. However, Aidan was unable to say anything, leaving John convinced that his secret was safe for now - but is Aidan's memory going to come back.
John has killed or injured multiple people on the soap since his arrival, something which Oliver Farnworth has found difficult to keep to himself as
"It’s been difficult, it’s been hard. I filmed that in probably my fourth week of being here, so when I got the script and I was, ‘I’ve just killed someone!’ Then they explained how it would, that it was being filmed for a flashback scene. It’s been quite hard and I had to constantly check myself, especially in interviews," he said.
Discussing how much he knew about his character's past when he signed up, he said: "From the point where I auditioned for the part and came for the screen test, not a huge amount. I knew the length of the initial contract.
"If it was a three month contract and they said ‘You’ve got a dark past and secrets,’ you’d think, ‘Right, this could escalate quite quickly.’ But because I had a year contract I was drip fed certain things, like the military past, the fact that he was Jack Sugden’s estranged son, the fact that he was going to get into a relationship with someone in the village and the fact that parts of his past might come back to haunt him. You get all that, but really that stuff is still being sketched out while you’re auditioning for the part. It’s often when you hit the ground running that new ideas come up and the storyliners, writers and producers develop ideas from that."
