Manchester United star has baffled fans by writing a swear word and typo-riddled post to celebrate . United scored three goals in six minutes to stage to beat the French side 7-6 on aggregate in the quarter finals.
Having looked to be cruising into the semi finals thanks to first-half goals from Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot, United fell apart. Lyon scored four unanswered goals and were 6-4 up on aggregate after Alexandre Lacazette’s penalty in the 109th minute of extra time, albeit with 10 men after Corentin Tolisso was sent off.
Ruben Amorim’s side appeared to be going out, but netted a penalty and curled into the corner to level things up. then nodded in Casemiro’s cross to complete the most dramatic night Old Trafford has witnessed in some time.
Amad was among those watching on, with injury ruling him out of their most important game of the season so far. But unlike the supporters, he was able to join his team-mates in the dressing room afterwards to celebrate.
Posting to his nearly 650,000 followers on X, he shared a photo of himself with Ugarte and Alejandro Garnacho and wrote: “UNITER WILL NEVER DIED, congrat manu for your’re s*** goal , f*** Garna for that miss , you gaves us pain heart”.

His post went live at 11.13pm on Thursday night and by early on Friday morning it had been viewed 3.6m times, with many people wondering the same thing. A fan responded asking if it was Amad’s official account, to which he replied sarcastically: “No, Amorim account.”
Amad’s dig at Ugarte felt a bit uncalled for, with the Uruguayan tucking in a simple finish from Garnacho’s cross to open the scoring. But his criticism of Garnacho was more valid, with the winger missing a golden chance one-on-one with Lyon goalkeeper Lucas Perri after cutting inside to leave the defender on the ground.
The victory came in chaotic fashion, but was much needed for United, who know that their season rests on winning the Europa League due to their dreadful form in the . Amorim’s side are 14th in the league having suffered 14 defeats and their only chance of qualifying for the next season is by winning the Europa League.
"I think that is why we like this sport so much, all the frustration that a coach has in this season, the bad moments,” Amorim said. “When you have moments like this, it is all worth it.
“But then you finish the game, you calm down, and you realise we have a game on Sunday. Then we have to see how the players are and if they are fit to play because we have to focus a lot on the Europa League.”
Amad trained by himself at Carrington in the build-up to the Lyon game and it is hoped he will be back before the end of the campaign. The 22-year-old forward has been one of United’s stand-out players this season, with nine goals and seven assists in 36 games, but has not played since February 7 due to injury.
