Subhash Kapoor’s courtroom drama Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, is set to release in theatres on 19 September. Ahead of its release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the film, but only after suggesting a few minor changes. The film has now been certified U/A 16+ with a runtime of 2 hours 37 minutes 16 seconds.
What changes were made?
According to reports, the CBFC asked the makers to replace the old disclaimer with a new one, blur all alcohol brand visuals, and use fictitious names for real locations. An abusive word has been deleted, and a scene involving cops harassing an elderly woman was modified along with its dialogue. Additionally, a logo on a file held by actress Seema Biswas was blurred. Another dialogue in the second half related to her character Janaki was altered.
The board also demanded minor changes to a few visual logos. Despite these cuts, sources say the overall narrative remains unaffected.
Star cast and release
The film features Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas, and Gajraj Rao. With the censor board’s approval, Jolly LLB 3 is now all set to hit theatres on 19 September.
