In a fiery press conference from BJP headquarters, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra accused the Congress party of trying to demoralize the Indian Army and playing into the hands of India’s enemies. Patra said the so-called “proof gang” is unhappy with the success of Operation Sindoor, in which Indian forces destroyed multiple terrorist hideouts across the border.
“MPs Aren’t on a Tour, They’re Defending India’s Honor Globally”Responding to criticism from Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Jairam Ramesh regarding the government’s multi-party foreign delegation, Patra asserted, “These MPs are not sightseeing — they’re presenting India’s side in the court of the world. Even your MPs are part of it. Stop mocking your own country’s efforts.”
Sharp Attack on Past Congress ActionsPatra didn’t hold back in reminding the public of what he called Congress’s history of weakness on national security. “There was a time when terrorists were welcomed in the PMO. Sonia Gandhi wept over dead terrorists, but never for martyred soldiers,” he alleged.
He emphasized that during Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army destroyed nine terrorist camps, with satellite images and evidence presented by the DGMO to support the mission’s success.
“Congress Asking for Proof, Breaking the Army’s Morale”Patra further criticized the Congress for repeatedly demanding proof of military operations. “From day one, they asked: how many planes fell? How much damage was done? We provided satellite images and airbase photos, but their only mission is to cast doubt. That breaks the army’s morale,” he said.
Using a stark analogy, he added, “Pakistan has Babbar, India has Gabbar — and Gabbar will always defeat Babbar with the bravery of our jawans.”
“Jai Hind Yatra or Jai Pakistan Yatra?”Slamming Congress’s recent campaigns, Patra remarked, “Your Jai Hind Yatra sounds more like a Jai Pakistan Yatra. There’s a deep split in the Congress today — one foot in India, the other in appeasement politics.”
He also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming she and other opposition leaders have given shelter to Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas, and ask questions about national security that “even Pakistan doesn’t raise.”
“From Vadra to Rahul, All Question the Army”Wrapping up, Patra accused the Congress of systematically attacking the military. “From Robert Vadra to Rahul Gandhi, they’ve all questioned the Indian Army. When the Indus Water Treaty was revoked, they said Pakistan’s water shouldn’t be stopped — in the name of humanity. Is this patriotism?”
