A shocking incident of molestation was recently captured on CCTV, raising serious concerns about women’s safety on the city’s streets. The disturbing footage shows a man harassing a woman walking with her friend late at night in a residential area.
📹 Shocking Act Caught on CameraIn the CCTV footage, a man can be seen approaching the woman from behind and suddenly grabbing her inappropriately. As soon as she resists, the man flees the scene. The incident took place in what appears to be a colony or residential neighborhood, and it was dark at the time, suggesting it happened late at night.
🚨 Police Begin Investigation, Awaiting Formal ComplaintThe police have taken note of the viral footage and started investigating the matter. They are scanning footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the accused. However, authorities have confirmed that no formal complaint has been filed by the victim so far. Officers stated that they will wait for the complaint but may also take suo motu cognizance of the incident and register a case independently if necessary.

A similar incident occurred in August 2024, when a 34-year-old woman was molested while out on a morning walk in South Bengaluru’s Konanakunte area. That incident was also caught on CCTV, and the accused was later arrested. The case had sparked nationwide outrage, prompting concerns about the city’s law enforcement.
