viewers were left taken aback by one audition on the show, branding the performance "very weird" and "bizarre".
The talent show returned to TV screens on Saturday (5 April) with a fresh set of acts aiming to impress Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli.
First up was Victor Tang, who performed a musical strip tease. The 59-year-old Australian singer performed Nina Simone's Feeling Good, beginning his audition with a piano performance before belting out the rest of the track.
Victor proceeded to take off some of his clothing, while lifting weights on stage and showing off his physique by doing pull-ups.
BGT fans at home were left speechless by his unique audition, with many taking to social media to react to the scenes just moments into his performance.
"Well this is bizarre #BGT," one ITV viewer wrote on X, while a second said: "Pianist, weightlifter, stripper. What am I seeing? #BGT." (sic)
A third penned: "And that was just down right weird. Not talent. just weird. #BGT," and a fourth asked: "What the madness is happening here?! #BGT #BritainsGotTalent." (sic)
However, others praised Victor's performance, with one fan saying: "His performance is good! #BGT." Another person added: "Oh WOW he is very good, with comedy aspects as well? Instant w. #bgt." (sic)
The judges were surprised by Victor's audition too, with Bruno exclaiming: "The beginning was a little bit disdorcordant with my ears, and I really thought, 'Oh my God'. And then you started strip and lift weights!"
However, Simon told Victor: "I like you actually, it's different."
The singer received a total of three yeses from the judges, allowing him to progress to the next round of the competition.
Britain's Got Talent airs on ITV1 on Saturdays at 7pm.
