Europe's hidden-gem lake with crystal-clear waters away from the crowds

For anyone who loves a view point, a trip to Rozafa Castle near Shkodër is a must. There, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Another highlight is the Syri i Sheganit (Shegan Eye), a natural spring forming a dark blue pool connected to the lake, easily reached by a dirt road from Shkodër.

The best way to get to the lake from the UK is to fly to Podgorica Airport. From there, there is a bus to Vranijna (a town overlooking the lake) that takes just 17 minutes.
