Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a small plane crash near Centennial Airport in Denver, Colorado on Friday morning.
The Douglas County Sherriff Office is about to host a news conference at 3pm UK time, confirming more details on the fatal incident, including how many people were on board and the number of casualties.
The Douglas County Sherriff's Office wrote on X: "The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and South Metro Fire Rescue are investigating a fatal plane crash at 8636 S. Peoria Street. Media staging is just to east of the location. Media briefing will be at 8am on Friday."
Desmond Brown, who works nearby, told Denver7: "I was inside to my place of business, and I was working, and we just heard a loud boom.
"So when we heard a loud boom, me and my coworkers came outside, we noticed a big ball of flames across them. Over here, we was wondering what it was. We thought it was a generator at first, and then next thing we heard when another coworker came up to and said it was a plane that went down."
Firefighters contained flames that were threatening a structure and a large generator, according to local reports.
