This rotten-to-the-core Labour Government positively reeks of desperation. Its vile, sustained and vicious attack on Reform's MP Sarah Pochin this week has gone beyond hysterical - even by the Left's standards.
"Reform not fit to govern," screamed Labour MPs. "Farage's deafening silence." "Remove the whip." You'd think the woman had actually murdered someone or, at the very least, committed a crime, broken some law - something Labour MPs seem to do with monotonous regularity. But no, what Pochin had actually done - albeit with a clumsy use of words - was point out an inescapable fact which is that woke advertisers, terrified of being branded racist or accused of not following diversity policies, had vastly over-represented black and Asian people in their ads.
And that fact came to light courtesy of new data from an agency called Tapestry, which looked at the top 500 ads on telly and found that more than 51% featured black people, even though they make up just 4% of the population,17% featured South Asian people who make up just 8% of the population and 11% featured East Asians who make up just 1% of the population.
And these are facts that have escaped no-one of late. In fact, if I had a quid for every time someone had commented on the over representation of certain minorities in TV ads over the past two years - I'd be a millionaire. Like it or not, people have noticed it and they're talking about it.
But in Labour's la-la-land, if you dare mention a fact that concerns black and Asian people, they will immediately scream racism - whatever the context. I'll tell you what's racist - it's this Government voting against a national inquiry into Pakistani Muslim grooming gangs accused of raping and torturing white girls. It's calling victims liars for calling them out on their racism.
What's also racist is the Government's total inaction over the antisemitism that's poisoned our streets, and which runs rife through government.
But back to Pochin. She was a guest on a radio show when a punter rang in to talk about the over-representation of black and Asian people in TV ads and they'd asked Pochin her opinion (to hear the Left, you'd think she'd started ranting publicly about this apropos of nothing).
Her mistake was to say: "Yes, it drives me mad." It was a clumsy and stupid choice of words to describe an actual fact, but she also made some very valid points - one being that TV ads don't accurately reflect our society. And she's right. They don't.
And as one top ad boss pointed out yesterday, it happened because, for years, black and Asian people were underrepresented in ads and so, quite rightly, the ad industry went about correcting it. But as he said they vastly over-corrected it, and they all did it at the same time hence it became very noticeable - a situation the most recent data pointed out.
It also pointed out ads underrepresented disabled people who featured in just 4% of ads when they make up 18% of the population - but no-one's screaming about that.
It's not racist to say that, in terms of the population black and Asian people are overrepresented in TV ads - it's a verifiable fact. Are we not allowed to quote facts or data anymore in Labour's totalitarian state? Are we not allowed to say how things actually are for fear of being called a racist?
Labour's hypocrisy here is towering. Did they call out Humza Yusef, Scotland's former first minister, when he ranted about there being too many white politicians and officials in Scotland? Did they call out Scottish Labour leader, Anas Sarwar, when he also ranted that too many officials in Scotland were white. No, they didn't. In fact, Wes Streeting actually defended him. Yet he calls Sarah Pochin a racist and a disgrace.
Did they call out Sadiq Khan when he said there were too many white men on Transport for London and that "white families don't represent real Londoners". Nope, they didn't.
Did they call out actress Adjoa Andoh when she complained at King Charles Coronation that the Buckingham Palace balcony was "terribly white". No, they damn well didn't. Because racist slights on white people don't count in Labour's Britain.
We even had the Health Secretary, Streeting, almost busting with faux indignation shouting: "We cannot allow one of the most successful multi-faith, multi-cultural countries in the world to slide back to the days where people walk down the streets afraid of being abused or attacked because of what they look like or who they worship."
Is he actually kidding? What planet is the bloke on? Jews are afraid to walk down our streets for fear of being attacked and killed. Two actually were killed just a few weeks ago in Manchester.
We had a masked, intimidating Muslim mob rampaging through the streets of London at the weekend ready to cause trouble because a UKIP march was taking place nearby. We have never ended pro-Palestinian marches which put the fear of God into everyone, not just Jews. We have elected Muslim MP's calling for Jews to be banned from international football.
How the hell is that a successful multi-cultural society? It's a disaster, a dangerous experiment that has gone badly wrong.
For years we have allowed people to come here and live parallel lives practicing cultures and religions that are in direct opposition to our values, our traditions. We have allowed these people to be IN society, but not part of it.
We have allowed women to become second-class citizens who walk through our streets with cages on their faces and swathed in black robes. And Streeting has the audacity to say we have one of the most successful multi-cultural countries in the world? The man's delusional as is everyone else in his hopeless government.
Yet this week they wheeled out every cabinet member, every MP, to tear Sarah Pochin to bloodied shreds. And if they think the British people don't see what this is all about then they're bigger fools than they look.
This is a blatant attempt by a flailing, terrified, clueless government to discredit and smear a party that's smashing them in the polls and is going to kick them out of power (for decades hopefully) come the next election.
And wouldn't you think rather than fretting over a Reform MP's choice of words to describe an actual fact they'd be concentrating on their looming budget which is going to cripple decent hard working people, on the fact they've totally lost control our borders, that crime is out of control, that Miliband's loony policies are destroying business?
No, Labour wants you to forget about all of that and concentrate on what Sarah Pochin said about some woke TV ads and whether or not she used the right words to describe an actual fact!
