Man Utd have perfect response to Liam Delap snub as £50m transfer 'accelerated'

could reportedly push to sign Bryan Mbeumo even if they complete a deal to land Matheus Cunha. It comes after Liam Delap is said to have snubbed a switch to Old Trafford in favour of joining Premier League rivals Chelsea.

United are desperate to improve Ruben Amorim's attacking options this summer. It is claimed that plans to bolster their midfield and defence are on hold until the forward line is sorted. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both struggled for goals last season, while nobody in the club's squad reached double figures in the Premier League. Delap struck 15 goals for Ipswich, scoring nearly half of their goals in the top-flight. United's failure to qualify for the Champions League is claimed to be a key factor in the former Manchester City prospect's decision not to return to the city.
