Customers have been raving over the new Marks and Spencer Percy Pig range. The supermarket has given the iconic sweet a seasonal makeover with the launch of Percy Pig Petrifying Party Fruit Juice Gums.
As usual, it is vegan, made with real fruit juice and free from artificial colours and flavourings, but Percy has had a makeover, in orange, green and red, and "spooky" details like fangs. One eagle-eyed shopper has shared their find on the Facebook group, Snack Reviews. Alongside a picture of the treats, it read: "Closer look at Percy Pig Halloween sweets from M&S."
One person wrote: "Ok I'm convinced. I'm going to M&S." A second added: "I will have to get some of those."
One Ocado shopper praised them, writing: "Tasty, Sweet treat! My children devoured these very quickly! Will buy again".
However, reactions have been mixed. One shopper gave it just one star, and said they tasted like "soap" and they had to throw them away.
The 150g pack is retailing for £2 at M&S food stores across the country and online.
The supermarket is also already selling its Christmas sweets, which include the Percy Pig Merry Percymas and the Naughty and Nice Piglets.
M&S now sells more than a dozen variations of the beloved sweet, including low-sugar versions, Percy and Pals, and the original pack.
Percy was created in 1992, and the character has proven so successful that M&S sells around 18.7million bags of Percy Pigs a year across the range, which is equivalent to 36 bags of sweets every minute.
