
has opened up about the secret behind her incredible weight loss journey after weighing 20 stone at her heaviest. The TV chef is now four dress sizes smaller after years of "despising exercise" and eating large portions.
Last year, she kicked-started her health journey and embraced a balanced food regime, which helped her shed three stone. The huge lifestyle change left her feeling like she's "created a second chance at life." The regular is currently taking part in an 18-day, 450-mile charity bike challenge.
The mum-of-two revealed she has combined eating two meals a day with cycling and a personal trainer to help drop the pounds, as well as using semaglutide.
In an interview with , she revealed: "After a lifetime of despising exercise and struggling with my weight, I've reached a place where I'm reaping the physical and emotional benefits of prioritising my body and health.
"Nine months after I started training, I'm more than three stone lighter and four dress sizes smaller. And while I can credit perseverance plus the support of a personal trainer and cycling partner, I have something else to thank for my achievements - Ozempic."
The chef told that her motivation wasn't just about losing weight but also "building longevity" after years spent living an "incredible lazy life" after having a hip replacement in 2023. The 74-year-old admitted she "struggled" to walk around her kitchen island without "steadying myself on the island."
Although Rosemary is now enjoying healthier meals, she confessed to overindulging with "excessive" portion sizes in the past and quickly became "deeply worried" when she hit 20 stones.
During her 12-day stint on I'm A Celebrity, the star temporarily lost over two stones and after regaining the weight, lost it again following her diagnosis with Type 2 diabetes in 2018.
Alongside her lifestyle overhaul, Rosemary explained that she also started training three times a week with a personal trainer, and nine months later, she feels fit enough to cycle for four to five hours a day, up to 42 miles.
Her health has been dramatically impacted as her doctor revealed that her blood sugar levels, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and kidney function have all improved.
During a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, the chef said: "It's all exercise. I mean, you know, it's exercise. It's all about getting out there, if you can, enjoying the fresh air, it's the mental health."
