New weather maps show a huge storm is on its way to the UK. Turbulent conditions are expected to cover Britain on Saturday, August 30. The maps, from forecaster WXCHARTS, show that at 9am, large swathes of the UK will be covered with rain. The rainy weather will reach from Ayr in Scotland to Cornwall in the UK, stretching a huge 529 miles.
In England, the storm will mostly be seen on the west coast, in the south and in the Midlands. The east coast, especially in the north east, will avoid the stormy conditions.

At 9am, south Wales will see the highest level of rainfall with 5mm per hour of rain expected.
Gloucester, Devon, London and Manchester will see around 2mm of rainfall per hour.
By 12 noon, the stormy weather will make its way over to the east coast.
By this time, Cumbria, Yorkshire and the Humber and Sussex will see the most rainfall, at between 3mm and 5mm per hour.
A forecast by the Met Office says: "Changeable and unsettled weather conditions are expected across the UK during this period with low pressure systems tending to dominate the overall pattern.

"This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect the majority of the UK at times.
"Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west, although with a risk some of this could spread to other areas at times."
It adds that thunderstorms and hail are also possible, as are some spells of strong winds if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK.
The Met Office continues: "Some short-lived spells of drier weather are likely between systems.
"Temperatures will likely be close to average, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells."
