Jaipur: Heatwave conditions aggravated in the state Friday, with many places recording maximum temperatures above 41 degrees Celsius. Churu and Sriganganagar were the hottest, reaching 45.4 degrees Celsius. Jaipur experienced its hottest morning and afternoon of the season so far.
More than 21 districts were under severe heatwave conditions, with an average rise of almost four degrees in both maximum and minimum temperatures. The Met office attributed the continued rise in temperatures to active upper air cyclonic circulation and northerly winds.
However, minor relief was likely on Saturday and Sunday. tnn
