BENGALURU: Zomato cofounder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has purchased a luxury apartment in Gurugram’s The Camellias residential project developed by DLF Limited for Rs 52.33 crore.

The conveyance deed was executed on March 17, 2025, with stamp duty paid amounting to Rs 3.66 crore, as per documents accessed by real estate analytics platform Zapkey and reviewed by TOI.

Located on the fifth floor of Tower 1, the apartment spans about 10,813 sft of super built-up area and includes five exclusive parking spots. The purchase was made in Goyal’s personal capacity. The Camellias, part of the DLF 5 township in Sector 42, is among the most expensive residential projects in the National Capital Region.

The purchase price translates to about Rs 48,390 per sft, placing it at the upper end of prevailing rates at The Camellias, where transactions have ranged between Rs 45,000 and Rs 50,000 per sft, depending on the tower and floor. This is significantly higher than most other luxury residential projects in Gurugram, where top-end prices typically hover between Rs 25,000 and Rs 35,000 per sft.

DLF Limited is recorded in the deed as the absolute owner of the apartment following a demerger of its real estate business from DLF Utilities Limited, as approved by the National Company Law Tribunal, Chandigarh bench.

As per the deed, Goyal had earlier signed an apartment buyer’s agreement in April 2022 and was handed over physical possession after confirming satisfaction with the construction quality and supporting documentation.

Goyal joins a list of high-profile tech entrepreneurs who have invested in The Camellias. Past buyers include Boat CEO Aman Gupta, Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal, Cars24 CEO Vikram Chopra, Mamaearth CEO Varun Alagh, BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover and Pine Labs co-founder Lokvir Kapoor.
