NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Punjab Kings in the historic Indian Premier League 2025 final on Tuesday, June 3. The match, featuring two teams still chasing their maiden IPL trophy, will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, with a 7:30 PM IST start.
After an 18-year wait since the IPL’s inception, one of these teams will finally break their title drought. The big question: which team will end the wait?

The Narendra Modi Stadium is expected to be filled with thousands of fans wearing jersey No.18, rallying behind modern day batting maestro Virat Kohli, who is appearing in his fourth IPL final. Emotions will run high as this may be Kohli’s last on-field appearance for a while, following his recent retirement from Test cricket and with India’s next ODI series months away.
Punjab Kings, undeterred by their earlier defeat, made a strong comeback by knocking out five-time champions Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 to reach their first final in 11 years.
It’s fitting that PBKS and RCB, who finished as the top two teams after a gruelling 70-match league phase, now have a shot at the elusive trophy that has slipped away since the IPL began.
