“He's a dog”: Dan Wilson responds to Victor Robles' sudden painful injury during Mariners Vs Giants

It was a tough weekend for the Seattle Mariners, as they played against the San Francisco Giants, who won with a score of 5-4. The Giants managed to hit in the bottom of the ninth inning. While the game was interesting, Mariners’ player Victor Robles was left injured. Robles tried running a longer distance with the motive of an amazing catch, however, he crashed into a fence and injured his left shoulder.

Victor Robles almost had it this weekend, however, things got too serious due to the sudden injury. Robles had to leave the field, which seems to be a serious injury. It was tough for the Seattle Mariners to lose out on their important player mid game.




After the catch, Robles had to leave the game because of his injury. The Seattle Mariners’ manager Dan Wilson spoke to the media, regarding Robles’ injuries. He said:

“It looked like something with his shoulder, we'll find out more here as we go.”

Further, the Seattle Mariners’ starting pitcher, Bryan Woo also expressed his point of view on Victor Robles’ injury. He said:

“He's a dog, He puts his body out in a spot that probably could have been a foul ball, and he could've just let it go. But that's not who he is. He's got the respect of everybody in the clubhouse.”

Robles expressed extreme pain as he was being carted off, holding his left wrist and wincing while being consoled by Mariners head athletic trainer Kyle Torgerson. After leaping from all the way in fair territory into the net in foul territory, Robles tumbled to the ground, grabbed the baseball from his glove then rolled it underhand with his right arm to second baseman Ryan Bliss.

Julio Rodriguez also responded to the situation, he said Victor Robles made a lot of effort but at a high cost. He said:

“Obviously, he made all that effort, but it's a high cost.”

Further, he added:

“He's a very impactful player for our team, defensively and offensively, too, It's just a matter of seeing where things stand with him now.”
