The Machop Community Day Classic of Pokémon GO is here, and it offers the trainers the chance to snag rare bonuses and a powerful fighting-time ally. While this event features some paid perks like a Special Research ticket, there is a way to get the free ticket—without any coins required. Here is a quick guide on how you can secure the ticket before the event kicks off and dive into action.

The free Pokémon GO Machop Community Day Classic tickets can be obtained if your friend sends them. To receive it, you must be either Great Friends or higher with the other player. Then, the player gifting you, or if you are the friend gifting another player, will need to follow the below-mentioned steps to send the ticket to you for free.

• Head to the in-game shop and navigate the event ticket section.
  
• Instead of making the purchase outright, click the Gift option, available at the screen’s bottom.
  
• Choose a friend from the list and send them the ticket.
  
• In return, you can even have a trusted friend do the same for you.
  

Note: Every player can receive 1 gifted ticket. The gifting player can send up to 20 free tickets only.


If you are on the receiving end, check the Friends List, accept the ticket, and activate the Special Research tasks that are tailored for the Classic event. Just remember, the gifting window runs between May 23, 2025 (10:00 AM) and May 24, 2025 (5:00 PM). So, do not wait for too long.



Event Pokémon GO rewards and bonuses

Machop Community Day Classic is available till May 24 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Together with some boosted Machop spawns, the players can enjoy the triple Stardust for the catches and even have 3-hour Lure Modules.


To evolve the Machop to Machamp during the event or till May 31, 2025, 10:00 PM, grants you the Charged Move Payback, the strong attack for the PvP, and the raids. There is also the free Timed Research with some extra Machop encounters and the XP rewards. The paid Special Research track, costing $1.99, adds the Rare Candy XL and the Premium Battle Passes.
